Sinclair: Keith, I haven't heard from you for a while. What are you up to?
Gipson: Lots! Lately I've busy settling in to my new position as Chief Technology Officer at PhoenixESG. In only a few years PhoenixESG has become one of the leading energy asset management companies in the industry!
Sinclair: Energy Asset Management? Tell me more about that?
Gipson: PhoenixESG operates in several energy-related areas on behalf of our customers. We monitor large, multi-site customer facilities (thousands of sites and counting). Employees of our customers call us with EMS related issues. We then log the call and track it using our own call management technology. We have a team of experienced EMS/HVAC technicians that then follow up on the initial call, performing in effect, a "triage" service, diagnosing the problem remotely; in an effort to avoid dispatching the customer's local HVAC/mechanical contractor and the associated extra cost of an on-site visit. If a site visit is deemed necessary, we dispatch the customer's local vendor and continue to manage the process through closure.
We also provide reporting, M&V, analysis and commodity procurement services.
Sinclair: Seems like that could be a lot of work?
Gipson: It can be challenging at times. However, through the judicious use of gateways into the existing EMS systems, coupled with advanced automated diagnostics, alarming, reporting and notification solutions, we can offer a service under girded by technology that is both scalable and cost-effective. We call the patent pending technology platform "EnterpriseDX (Data eXchange)".

Gipson: That's right. I'm very excited to be a part of the team at PhoenixESG and am looking forward to developing our capabilities even more. We have a very comprehensive library of legacy system gateways (http://www.phoenixesg.com/edxgateways.html) And, of course, once the infrastructure is in place, the real "killer app" is Automated Demand Response!
Sinclair: Where can people get further information about PhoenixESG?
Gipson: www.phoenixesg.com or contact me at kgipson@phoenixesg.com
