Delivering smarter building is a challenge as the next new is now spanning over existing technologies creating bridges, sometimes off ramps to no where plus large gaps actually caverns that we can all get lost in. The ability to quickly present concepts and how they fit the Monday Live groups has pioneered "the stack" a tool to help make sense of the complexity of smart buildings technologies, products, services, and stakeholders.

In my August review of a Month of Mondays ended with the presentation of the stack which was very well received. Take a look and see how you can best use it.

Be sure to read this article  Smart Buildings are dead. Long live Smarter Buildings! Nicolas Waern  "The Building Whisperer"

The Smarter Stack is an open-source tool created the members of Monday Live! For more on the Smarter Stack, visit Monday Live

Really interesting and great approach when it comes to getting started to plot out what smarts go into a building and how it might fit with existing dimensions. A great tool to have and I will try it on for size and see how the tool fits.

The July !9 discussion on the adoption of analytics for smarter buildings session gave us the the five stages of grief for analytics. I think we have all been there..big smile

Denial:         How can my facility be this bad?
Anger:         Who let this happen to my facility?
Bargaining:     Let's not tell anyone else just yet,ok?
Depression:     There's too much wrong, we can never fix all this…
Acceptance:     How do we start to fix these issues?

How do we build on "advanced technology indistinguishable from magic."

The next new is coming at us so fast that it is hard to keep up with a monthly publication so my thoughts and links are spilling over to social media daily please follow me to better understand the speed of change
