The BAS industry gathers again at AHR 2022 in
Las Vegas after two years of wondering what the future of smart buildings will
be during and after the pandemic. The anticipation of this annual industry
gathering is high to say the least.
For me and many in the industry, the pandemic
has been transformational. Amidst the sadness of fatalities and hardships that
many have faced, key industry leaders have been using their Zoom time to get
through the pandemic and work on a better future for us all.
Here are a number of initiatives and
activities that will see the light of day for the first AHR Expo.
The formation of Monday Live! has provided
industry leaders with a platform to discuss and further the delivery of smarter
buildings.
Monday Live! is an open ecosystem of
contributors who exchange information, ideas, approaches, and best practices
that help buildings advance to be smarter and enhance their value. The Monday
Live! mission is to be a catalyst to identify, discuss and clarify relative
topics that help drive buildings to be smarter.

Founded in May 2021, the Coalition for Smarter
Buildings is a coalition of passionate leaders in the smart building industry,
bringing deep experience and enthusiasm to implementing interoperable smart
information systems in commercial buildings worldwide. We are seeking
participation from those who share these views. With your support and action,
we can make a difference by making all buildings smarter, one building at a
time. Addressing this challenge is daunting for any one person or company, but
achievable if we work together to create a revolution in how we view buildings.
The coalition is focused on educating numerous stakeholders on what it takes to
make buildings smarter
Our Five Pillars of Action are Interoperability, Analytics, Specifications, Financial Models, and Workforce Development.
Join your industry colleagues and learn about
the coalition and how you can get involved.

Created by members of Monday Live! The Smarter
Stack is a game-changing open-source presentation framework created to describe
and understand the components necessary to make buildings smarter. The Smarter
Stack is now being used by vendors, engineers, integrators, and building owners
alike to understand the components, products, and technologies they need to make
their buildings smarter.

members at the LonMark session to learn more about the Smarter Stack.

Cimetrics consensus-building collaboration at the last AHR Expo in Orlando,

adoption of interoperable cybersecurity in BACnet systems.
