The IBB Palm Springs "the best one yet" |
Leighton Wolffe |
The IBB (Interoperability Blues Band) Palm Springs got underway with Graham Neill setting the tone with his power blues tunes. After his set the IBB took over in full force with participation from Keith Gipson, John Morris, Mark Pacelle, Terry Reynolds, Bill Gnerre, Jack McGowan, Bobby Wallace, Ron Bernstein, Tracy Markie, Rod Giltaca, Everett Dickey, Francis Devito, and Leighton Wolffe. In addition to the band, there were all kinds of percussion instruments available for everyone and there were some great audience rhythm moments. Who kept banging the gong?
Consistent with the theme of connectivity at BuilConn, it was not unnoticed that making some music together were Andy Macmillan, President and CEO of Teletrol Systems and Chair of the BACnet committee along with Ron Bernstein, Director of LonMark International. Nice drumming guys.
This was the best one yet. We had great participation from across the BuilConn community. We had many new faces this year. Who knew we had such talent? We’ll see many more next year from a number of interested musicians who attended their first BuilConn and want to join in on the fun.
We had a terrific percussion section (Thanks
everyone!) and were fortunate to have the IBB Dancers join us on stage. Thanks
Heather, Gina, and others.
IBB Chicago
planning is already underway so please contact me with your ideas and interest
in participating. Never too soon to line up a good time.
