EBTRON - Electronic Air Flow Measurement News
EBTRON revolutionizes space pressurization control
New sensor uses ultra-low velocity measurement technology for differential pressure measurement and provides a very accurate electronic bi-directional output.
Loris, South Carolina, March 31, 2000: EBTRON, a South Carolina manufacturer of electronic airflow measurement equipment, announces the availability of the model BDB3 Sensor, a new entry to their Eliminatorä product line. This compact, new electronic device is a revolutionary bi-directional airflow meter that can measure differential airflow rates from still air to 2,000 ft./min., throughout a wide range of temperature conditions. By "bleeding" airflow between spaces, across a control damper or other partition, the device can effectively measure and control very low-pressure differentials between the separated areas.
[an error occurred while processing this directive] Unlike static air pressure sensors, the BDB3 sensor uses thermal airflow sensing technology that excels at low air velocities. The bi-directional nature of the sensor design assures that the airflow (or equivalent pressure differential) is in the proper direction, providing a control input for either positive or negative space pressurization. The microprocessor-based electronics uses high quality, industrial-grade components. Its simple design and "daisy chained" cable hookups result in quick and easy installation in both new and retrofit applications, including:
The Eliminatorä BDB3 Sensor Features:
The BDB-type sensor is available with the 3000 Series Eliminatorä electronics as the model BDB3, or in the model BDBD when networked within the EBTRON IAQ Enforcerä system. Simple 3-conductor "daisy chain" wiring between other EBTRON sensors is all that is needed, when used within the EBTRON IAQ Enforcerä systems. The greater computing capacity of the IAQ Enforcerä system allows measurements to be compensated for temperatures between -20º F and 160º F.

New presentations promote improved Indoor Air Quality through direct and effective ventilation control methods Seminars spotlight the massive potential returns available to owners from building ventilation system investments
Loris, South Carolina, March 31, 2000: EBTRON, Inc., a South Carolina manufacturer of electronic airflow measurement equipment, has announced the development of 6 new computer-generated slide presentations, designed to help consulting mechanical engineers and facilities engineers better understand the role of ventilation in maintaining acceptable Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). The Sales Representative for each territory will schedule the seminars. EBTRON plans to publish the following presentations and distribute them to their Sales Representatives for use over the next several months.
EBTRON's research indicates that considerable economic pressure for both the engineer and owner to make provisions for buildings with acceptable IAQ. These presentations are integral to the company's marketing plans, which includes intensive efforts to widen the market's awareness of the liability and costs associated with inadequate designs for IAQ.
Analysis has indicated that returns-on-investment of up to 200 times the costs of acquisition and installation for the needed additional equipment are available to building operators, by improving the quality of the indoor environment for their employees. These cost savings were calculated to include only the reduction of one IAQ-related sick day per employee per year. Conservative estimates for increases in productivity attributable to improve IAQ should also be considered, as well as potential savings to employer healthcare costs.

New presentations are linked to promotional campaign for Sales Reps and client-audience
Loris, South Carolina, March 31, 2000: To stimulate activity in EBTRON's new series of presentations; EBTRON, a South Carolina of electronic airflow measurement equipment, has developed a promotion as an additional incentive for their Sales Representatives to use the IAQ presentations, and for their clients to complete a short survey. EBTRON Reps have been encouraged to give each of the six presentations for all target-clients during the promotion period. Most Consulting Mechanical Engineers, Commercial Building Owners and Building Automation Contractors are considered target-clients. Upon receipt of the completed survey by EBTRON, both the Sales Rep and the attendee are automatically entered in a lottery-type drawing, scheduled for July of 2000. The number of entries will be proportional to the number of presentations given and total attendance. The winning Rep and the winning attendee will each receive the following:
The promotion period is scheduled for January 1, 2000 through June 30, 2000.
