Allows Users of I/NET Seven to Enjoy the Interoperability Benefits of TAC Vista

DALLAS – TAC, a world leader in Open Systems for Building IT®, security systems and energy solutions, announces the availability of an OPC Server to connect its I/NET® Seven high-performance security system with TAC Vista®, its LONWORKS®-based building management software.

Using the industry-standard OPC communication protocol technology, the TAC OPC Server allows customers with both TAC products to use a single operator interface, TAC Vista, to monitor and control both systems. For the first time, users can now view I/NET point data, acknowledge alarms, change setpoints and modify time schedules all through TAC Vista.

In addition, I/NET users are able to enjoy the interoperability of TAC Vista, which gives building owners and managers the flexibility and freedom to choose, install and operate a variety of building management systems.

TAC Vista combines environmental controls with facility and energy management features into a single, seamlessly interoperable solution. Using a modular, client/server design, TAC Vista can easily be scaled to accommodate the user’s needs, regardless of the building’s size, the number of buildings, or how many miles separate them.

TAC’s I/NET Seven allows users to easily access all system data, link the database with others, and use standard reporting tools. It provides a flexible, reliable solution for integrated, interoperable building management, including access-initiated control, powerful reporting, scalable software, CCTV and video badging capabilities, and critical alarm monitoring. In addition, I/NET Seven’s backward compatibility protects all earlier investment in the legacy system.
