ASHRAE eLearning is an optimal way to train yourself and your staff while earning PDHs and avoiding travel costs. Courses can be taken in small increments when time permits. Purchasers receive course access for one full year.

ASHRAE’s newest eLearning course is "Fundamentals of Sustainable Buildings and High Performance Systems Design" (I-P). The course details green design practices, benefits, and new green building ideas. It provides an overview of architectural decisions and their impact on sustainable and green project goals.

"Fundamentals of Sustainable Buildings and High Performance Systems Design" (I-P) is based on the ASHRAE GreenGuide: The Design, Construction, and Operation of Sustainable Buildings.

The course was written by ASHRAE members Thomas Lawrence, P.E., LEED-AP, University of Georgia and John M. Swift, Jr., P.E., CEM, LEED-AP, Cannon Design. Lawrence, an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer, is the chair of ASHRAE Technical Committee 2.8, “Building Environmental Impact and Sustainability,” and is a member of the committee writing an ASHRAE standard on high-performance green buildings (Standard 189.1). Swift is a voting member and the secretary of ASHRAE Technical Committee TC 2.8 Building Environmental Impacts and Sustainability. An international team of ASHRAE sustainability authorities reviewed the course for “real world” application value.
