Update Your Knowledge—Certify Your Competence

The University of Kansas Continuing Education is offering an online certificate program in Process Instrumentation and Control (I&C). The course covers the different phases of I&C from a nonmathematical and practical point of view. It includes basic concepts of the engineering and installation of control equipment.

Registration is open for Module 3. Although it is recommended that you take the modules in sequence, if you feel you have knowledge of the Module 1 & 2 material, you may register and begin in Module 3. Please look over the course content to see what is covered in Module 1. The certificate is awarded after the completion of the three modules. If you start with Module 3, you will be required to take Modules 1 & 2 starting in October 2011 if you wish to receive a certificate. If you wish to wait and start with Module 1, please check back on our website this summer when we have full details about the new sessions.

Upon successful completion of the three program modules, the certificate awarded to you by the University of Kansas will document your specialized education and knowledge in Process Instrumentation and Control. It can serve as evidence of your qualifications and competence to current or potential employers.

Uniquely Designed for the Practical Learner

contemporary This certificate program is for those who want to learn about the I&C field in a condensed time frame and from a practical point of view, and/or for those who simply want to communicate technically with I&C personnel.

It's also designed to provide you with sufficient knowledge to move into the field of I&C. It is applicable to technical and supervisory personnel. It is presumed that participants come from a setting where they can apply the knowledge received.

Advantages for Choosing an Online Course
•         Minimum time away from the workplace
•         No travel and related expenses
•         Flexible study time and work pace
•         Convenient e-mail access to the instructor

Course Is Presented in Three Modules
Module 3: 5 sessions from June 2 to June 30, 2011
Modules 1 & 2: Begin in October of 2011
