Paul Camuti to share insight on integrating sustainable portfolio technologies

BURLINGTON, Mass. (April 12, 2011) – Siemens Energy president of Smart Grid Applications, Paul Camuti, will be a featured speaker at KEMA’s fourth annual Utility of the Future Leadership Forum, “Shaping the Future.” Camuti will be part of the senior executive panel examining the integration of new energy grid technologies at the KEMA forum, being held June 6-8, 2011 at The Four Seasons, Denver, Colorado.

Camuti will be sharing insight into emerging technologies from an integrated energy infrastructure perspective on the panel “Integrating New and Ever-changing Technologies” on Tuesday, June 7. He will be joined by senior executives from companies such as Duke Energy, Boeing Energy, and Intel to discuss considerations in managing the challenges posed by rapidly emerging technologies with an eye on shaping the evolving utility future.

“From generation, to transmission, distribution, to energy consumption, technology innovations are blazing new trails for the utility future,” said Camuti. “Developing a sustainability portfolio that includes renewable generation and smart grid technologies ultimately can help energy producers and consumers achieve new levels of operational efficiency. The challenge is to navigate technology choices that allow for future flexibility and to integrate new technologies with each other and within the existing asset base to enable effective operations today.”

The 2011 Utility of the Future forum features one and one-half days of discussion about industry game changers, new business models, and changing the traditional roles of utilities, customers, and suppliers. Executive-level panel discussions will focus on CEOs’ views of the future utility: the road to sustainability, gas as part of the smart grid paradigm, the integration of new and ever-changing technologies, and consumer and ‘prosumer’ engagement. Throughout the forum, there will be high-level networking opportunities to share perspectives, collaborate, and engage in dialog.
