New Wireless Adapters Bring Cabling-Free ZigBee Communications to any Lighting Fixture and Commercial Building
Mountain View, Calif. – April 17, 2012 – Daintree Networks, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent wireless lighting controls for commercial buildings, today announced the broad expansion of its line of Wireless Adapters for wireless lighting controls within commercial and industrial buildings. The new WA product family, the most comprehensive on the market, offers powerful control options to fit a variety of fixture types, customer requirements and budgets.
“Our mission is to deliver intelligence to the lighting in every commercial building, and this vision relies upon low cost, standards-based wireless connectivity,” said Danny Yu, CEO, Daintree Networks. “By expanding on the success of our existing Wireless Adapter products, we’re providing the lighting industry with the most complete and robust set of options for wireless control – all using a trusted, open standard rather than non-interoperable, proprietary technology.”
Daintree’s Wireless Adapters are low-cost, low-profile devices which add wireless connectivity and distributed control to lighting fixtures, sensors, wall switches and other wired products within buildings. Through a Wireless Adapter, most fixtures and other off-the-shelf products can easily add the ZigBee communications standard at either the point of manufacture or the customer site, and connect to Daintree’s centralized ControlScope software and other ZigBee-certified wireless products.
The enhanced WA product line now includes adapters for both low-cost control of individual fixtures and multi-function control of complete circuits. Products include:
As well as meeting customer needs across industries, the new WFA100 was built to address a growing demand from lighting fixture manufacturers to pre-install ZigBee functionality inside existing fixtures at the point of manufacture. With a streamlined form factor, the WFA100 fits seamlessly inside many commercial and industrial LED and fluorescent fixtures.

addition to the WA product line, Daintree Networks works with a variety
of ZigBee microchip and module providers to recommend qualified
components. This means that lighting manufacturers seeking to build
integrated wireless devices can call upon Daintree’s expertise to
determine the best way to bring new wireless products to market.
The full line of new and updated WA products will be available for
purchase in Q2 2012. To learn more about Daintree’s WA line, for more
