New infiNET EX® wireless dimmers, LED drivers, and DALI® ballasts
emphasize Crestron open standards based commercial lighting control
solutions
For commercial lighting specifiers, architects, and facility managers,
LIGHTFAIR® International 2013 promises to be a can’t-miss event as
Crestron unveils innovative new lighting and energy management
solutions that create truly smart buildings. Attendees will experience
interactive demonstrations of Crestron Integrated by Design™ smart
building and room solutions featuring a complete line of wireless
dimmers and switches, LED drivers, and DALI® ballast solutions.
“Crestron solutions provide a single point of contact for all of an
organization’s lighting control needs, including system design,
specification support, installation, programming and lifecycle
support,” said Mike Malone, Crestron VP of Commercial Lighting
Controls. “By building on open standards like DALI, Ethernet, and
BACnet, Crestron solutions offer customers competitive choices without
locking them into costly proprietary systems that they will be paying a
premium for in the years to come.”
Buildings and their control systems are getting more sophisticated and
more integrated with occupants' daily activities. Because of this, a
Crestron solution based on open protocols seamlessly integrates various
building systems, giving designers and building owners the confidence
that their building is future-proofed to support emerging technologies.
“Gone are the days of throwing equipment away because technology
advanced and the proprietary system could no longer be upgraded.
Designing on open standards platforms liberates the design community to
have buildings and lighting controls that adapt and enhance based on
new technology, and never reach a dead-end,” explains Malone. “Our
mission has been to develop the broadest, most open, digitally
controlled distributed lighting control solution that can be fully
integrated with all connected systems in the building. By acting on
valuable feedback from lighting designers and specifiers, we’ve been
able to accomplish that in the solutions we are launching here at
LIGHTFAIR.”
A lineup of integrated lighting control products Crestron will showcase at LIGHTFAIR International 2013 includes:
Crestron Green Light 50W and 100W Dimmable LED Driver
The new line of Crestron dimmable LED drivers provides high-power LED
lighting. Available in 50w and 100w models, with single and
dual-channel options, GLD-LED drivers offer superior smooth dimming
technology using a combination of duty-cycle and current dimming.
Operable between 120 and 277 volts, Crestron LED drivers are perfect
for any building in any part of the world.
Crestron Cameo® Wireless Dimmers and switches provide superior in-wall
RF dimming of high voltage and electronic low voltage fixtures such as
today’s popular LED, incandescent, halogen and fluorescent light
sources. Crestron ELV dimmers are available in 120V, 230V, 277V to
support dimming of any fixture in any type of building anywhere in the
world. Cameo CLW wireless dimmers and switches are perfect for new and
retrofit applications, substantially reducing wiring and related labor
costs of traditional wired systems.
Battery-powered infiNET EX® Occupancy Sensor
The all-new infiNET EX® Occupancy Sensor delivers a cost-effective
solution to intelligently reduce energy costs and increase the energy
efficiency of lighting and environmental systems throughout a building.
Featuring a low-profile battery-powered form factor and adjustable
sensitivity, it is ideal for smaller areas up to 500 square feet to
detect when a room is occupied. Passive infrared occupancy sensing
technology achieves dependable motion detection with greater immunity
to false triggers.
The Crestron Green Light® Power Pack communicates with photocells,
occupancy sensors, and control stations to automatically control
lighting in any room. The entire Power Pack family provides
cost-effective and versatile lighting control for classrooms, small
offices, and open-plan offices. Ideal for new construction and
retrofitting existing buildings, Power Packs are designed to install
and commission quickly and easily or work as a stand-alone lighting
controller. The Green Light Power Pack connects to a central control
system, making it an integral part of a building’s energy management
system.
Crestron Fusion EM™ Energy Management Software enables staff to
measure, monitor, manage, and control lighting, HVAC systems, and
energy usage in every room of every building, all from one convenient
interface. Automate daily functions and schedule events such as
temperature, shades and lighting level set points, demand response
settings, global lighting and climate control for unoccupied spaces,
and more. Integrate with building management systems and monitor
historical and real-time energy usage from a centralized dashboard.

The Crestron Green Light® 3-lamp DALI® Ballast is the latest addition
to the 1- and 2-lamp ballast line, making it the most complete DALI
ballast solution on the market. Using less than 0.3 watts in idle mode,
Crestron DALI ballasts are the most energy efficient solution
available. With one, two, and three lamp configurations available,
Crestron ballasts support dimming for a wide range of linear
fluorescent lamps that are ideal for any fixture in any part of the
world.
