NEW PARIS, Indiana - April 15, 2015 -  KMC Controls, a leader in building automation systems, today announced the upcoming release of its new KMC Connect™ configuration utility for the KMC Conquest™ line of BACnet® direct digital controllers.

The software allows for fast, simplified configuration of KMC Conquest controllers via enhanced selection menus and wizards. An application library built into Connect uses a three-step wizard to allow technicians to search and select the appropriate pre-configured application for a given job, specify which devices should have which application, and then automatically match the applications to the devices.

The release of KMC Connect coincides with KMC's launch of its new Conquest line of BACnet direct digital controllers and appliances designed to connect building automation systems to the Internet of Things (IoT). The new suite of products provides system integrators and building owners with open, scalable, secure building automation solutions from a single building to enterprise-level installations.

Key time-saving features of KMC Connect include:
Jobs can be built offline and deployed on-site with a single click

New wizards quickly and easily configure alarms, schedules, and trends on native BACnet devices

Access to a library of hundreds of HVAC applications, with preconfigured set-ups for KMC controllers and accompanying documentation

Embedded Auditing Tool for continuous commissioning

Application wizard for VAV Balancing

According to KMC's VP of Technology Dave Bohlmann, "The Connect software takes the best features of our existing software and adds several ease-of-use wizards and an application library. The wizards significantly reduce the time and labor required to configure alarms, trends and schedules for one or multiple BACnet-compliant devices that utilize these objects, and allow them to be changed using standard BACnet methods. Our passion is making our products more intuitive for our customers, so they can install and configure them in less time. With Connect, we believe we have achieved a new level of success in supporting our integration partners."

KMC will be exhibiting its new technology as a platinum-level sponsor of two major upcoming events: Haystack Connect, from May 18th through May 20th, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and at Realcomm IBCon from June 9th through June 10th, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas.
