Water and heat metering are an essential component of building control systems and CIBSE accredited CPD trainer, Sontay, will explain all in its new water and heat metering training CPD course.
Metering equipment must meet the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) and EN1434 regulations to be compliant but it can be a complicated process. Sontay offers training days on all aspects of water and heat metering applications to help its customers become better informed on the topic and therefore better equipped to make decisions. This in turn, leads to a simpler installation process and cost savings.
“We are campaigning for a better understanding of metering within the industry”, says Alan Braybrook, Sales and Marketing Director at Sontay. “But it is important that we don’t just highlight the inadequacies but that we try to remedy them as well. With the introduction of this course we want our customers to realise the importance of metering and understand how to do it correctly. We want to pass on our expertise so installers can reap the cost and performance benefits of metering correctly.”

Sontay will also guide attendees through sizing water and flow meters, installation tips for water meters and temperature sensors and pockets for heat metering. There will also be the opportunity to find out about M-Bus networks and more about the standards, directives and statutory instruments associated with heat and water metering.
The courses presentation can be given at Sontay’s specialist training facility in Edenbridge, Kent or another chosen location within the UK.
Sontay has a comprehensive range of water and heat metering products
