Rockford, Ill. – January 31, 2011 – Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced the introduction of Venta, the next generation of Schneider Electric’s VB-7000 series bronze globe valves, to its portfolio. The enhanced VB-7000 product line, renamed Venta, incorporates the features and benefits that contractors and architects have come to rely on, and now includes new enhancements that address today’s market demands for greater energy efficiency and control.

New innovative features incorporated in the Venta VB-7000 product line include:
• Ultra-tight seal design provides tighter close off with near zero leakage (ANSI V rating) for greater energy savings
• Double the differential pressure rating (87 psi) to take on the most demanding applications
• 100:1 rangeability for higher performance and more precise temperature control
• Stronger stem design

Designed to deliver better performance with the same part numbers and dimensions for simple ordering and installation, the new RoHS compliant Venta VB-7000 bronze globe valves are equipped with the same CV flow ratings and actuator mountings. Other features from the past generation of the VB-7000 such as the dependable plug/stem connection, triple temp valve packing and stroke distance for actuator/linage compatibility are also built into the new Venta VB-7000 design. Schneider Electric’s enhanced Venta bronze globe valves will be available at the start of the second quarter of 2011 through Schneider Electric partners and distributors. Schneider Electric Expands Forta Globe Valve Actuator Family to Include the New Spring Return M900

Rockford, Ill. – January 31, 2011 – Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced the addition of the M900 series of electro-mechanical spring return actuators to its well-known family of FORTA two and three way globe valve actuators. The FORTA series, a powerful solution set designed to reduce operating costs while minimizing installation and maintenance, provides HVAC professionals, contractors, architects and systems engineers around the world with a fast, highly accurate method of control for heating and cooling applications. The addition of the M900 series, designed specifically for hot water, chilled water, and steam valve applications, complements the FORTA portfolio.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]With tested and proven advanced technology design, the M900 series offers:
• Flexible input signals: fast simple field setup of all the popular proportional and floating input  signals.
• Spring return that reacts in instances of power failures including both spring return extend and retract models to provide the maximum flexibility for use with both new and existing valve bodies, preventing mechanical stress and system water hammer.
• Brushless DC motors and a high resolution control board for very fine fluid control.
• Automatic calibration of the input signal span and the optional auxiliary switches of the actuator to match the stroke of the valve.
• Simple configuration for special applications including valve sequencing, valve position feedback span selection, valve stroke timing, and control valve flow curve behavior.

FORTA actuators are designed for easy field installation to Schneider Electric’s Venta VB-7000 or VB-8000/9000 series of globe valves. The entire portfolio of FORTA actuators, including the new M900 series, are easily compatible with most popular globe valves installed in existing buildings including Barber Colman, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens and Robertshaw.

Schneider Electric’s FORTA globe valve actuators will be available through Schneider Electric channel partners and distributors in the second quarter of 2011.
