New Role for Industry Veteran Will Focus on Developing Growing Strategic Markets

January 28, 2011, Montreal, Quebec, Canada – Distech Controls announced today the nomination of Patrick Winkelman to the new position of Vice President of Business Development. In his previous role as the company’s Vice President of Sales for the Americas, Patrick led the successful growth and development of its Distributor and System Integrator channels in North and South America.

This new nomination ensures that Distech Controls will be well positioned to benefit from growing market opportunities. Backed by over 20 years of experience in the BAS industry, Patrick will lead Distech Controls’ efforts at adapting its established solutions for the national accounts and retail spaces, among others. These sectors are well suited to adopt Distech Controls’ innovative solutions as they continue to seek new ways to improve profitability and achieve the long term sustainability of their facilities.

In addition, Patrick will be responsible for expanding Distech Controls’ existing offering by partnering with other technology-driven companies to provide its clients and channel partners with increasingly complete solutions.

contemporary “This appointment supports our strategy to develop new markets and growth areas for Distech Controls’ innovative products and leading solutions for building automation and energy management,” comments Etienne Veilleux, President & CEO, Distech Controls. “For nearly 10 years, Patrick has been an invaluable contributor to Distech Controls’ tremendous growth, and I am confident that his vast experience and proven track record make him an excellent ambassador for the company as we prepare to undertake promising market opportunities.”

Patrick took over his new responsibilities on January 1, 2011, and can be contacted for business development and/or partnership opportunities at 1-727-781-9610 or pwinkelman@distech-controls.com.
