Tasseron Sensors and Controls Inc. enters into the Building Automation and HVAC market

Friday, February 11, 2011 Tasseron Sensors and Controls Inc. with USA operations in Williamsport Pa, and headquarters in The Netherlands, enters into the Building Automation and HVAC market with their new Qwik Series™ product line of temperature sensors. Tasseron Sensors has been providing temperature sensors to the OEM market for over 20 years.

Featuring a Patent Pending Qwik Connect system which eliminates wire nuts, the Qwik Series™ product line makes installations cleaner, easier and much faster. The duct sensors come in three styles. The Qwik Box™,in a galvanized enclosure, IP40 & also available in IP54, The Qwik Mini™, in a plastic enclosure, IP54 and the Qwik Flange™, also available with a VAV option. All Qwik Series™ products come in a variety of NTC thermistor or RTD elements, and probe lengths from 4” up to 18”. The Qwik Series™ also features a small yet powerful outdoor sensor, strap on pipe sensor, and immersion sensor.

When asked why Tasseron entered the HVAC market, Tom Van Dyk Managing Director of USA operations said, “We saw this as a great opportunity, and a logical expansion of our current market strategies. It’s a great fit for us. Building automation and going green has become an increasingly important part of commercial and industrial buildings”.

Kevin Pool, National Sales Manager continued, “In developing the Qwik Series products, we didn’t set out to re-invent the wheel, but we wanted to make the wheel a little better. We believe we have accomplished that, with the Qwik Series™.”

Tom Van Dyk was asked if he sees Tasseron adding more products to the Qwik Series™ product line anytime soon, and said, “This is our first release for HVAC specific products, let us get these up and running first, but stay tuned!”
