ESI Now Value-Added Reseller of SkySpark Building Performance Software

SkyFoundry’s revolutionary software tranforms data into actionable information

BROOKFIELD–February 23, 2011– ESI (Environmental Systems, Inc.) is partnering with software solution provider SkyFoundry to resell and implement SkySpark. This innovative technology helps transform data from a myriad of smart devices into more profitable solutions for building systems management.

“SkySpark analyzes the sea of data contained in smart systems to pinpoint what’s important,” says John Petze, SkyFoundry co-founder and partner. Ongoing and instant access to valuable information from building automation systems, electric meters, thermostats and even individual sensors helps building owners identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve operations through enhanced control and replacement of capital equipment.

Paul Oswald, ESI president, says these advantages are the reason ESI decided to become a SkySpark Value-Added Reseller (VAR). “We continually seek out new technologies that add value for our customers,” Oswald says. “By turning data into actionable information, SkySpark enables customers to improve building performance and reduce energy costs.”

As a VAR, ESI provides SkySpark as part of its end-to-end solutions and offers the software and support services to other firms for use in their solutions.

contemporary “We’re pleased to have an industry-thought leader like ESI partnering with us as a VAR,” Petze says. “ESI has the training and capability to implement the software for building owners/operators and other systems integrators and contractors. The combination of ESI’s building, operations and control systems domain expertise, and its knowledge of SkySpark technology, is essential for optimal implementation and ongoing success.”

Since the relationship between the two firms began last spring, ESI has begun implementation of SkySpark for several large customers. ESI works with its customers to provide initial benchmarking and identifies patterns and issues that result in specific actionable data most beneficial for each customer’s systems and business requirements.

Results are just beginning to come in and are overwhelmingly positive, according to Oswald. “Once SkySpark is installed, ESI provides analysis, training and support. We work with our customers to measure usage against key performance indicators and goals and fine tune performance as needed,” he says. “SkySpark gives us – and our customers – the ability to stay on top of equipment operation and correct issues before they become costly problems. It’s an exciting solution toward achieving and maintaining optimum facility performance.”

ESI provides performance-building solutions for control and automation, systems integration, security, life safety, advanced software applications, energy services and building operations. ESI’s solutions reduce operating costs, improve sustainability and provide a positive return on investment. Visit ThinkESI.com for more information.

SkyFoundry provides software solutions for the “the Internet of things,” helping building owners derive value from their investments in smart systems. The company’s SkySpark analytics platform identifies opportunities for operational improvements and cost reduction
in control and equipment systems by automatically analyzing data to “find what matters.” Learn more at www.skyfoundry.com.
