Atlanta, GA (PRWeb) – February 8, 2013 – The Building Automation community further expands with another manufacturer joining the ranks of BACnet International. "BACnet is a major communication protocol for critical industries such as Building Automation. Because InduSoft has a strong presence in Building Automation, it was important for us to ensure compatibility with BACnet, and leverage the advantages that the BACnet protocol has to offer,” stated Marcia Gadbois, President of InduSoft, Inc. “We appreciate the opportunity to be a member of BACnet International, and we look forward to having access to BACnet’s resources for testing compatibility with InduSoft Web Studio.”

As a silver member, InduSoft joins over 80 of the leading building automation vendors in the world in pursuing advancement of BACnet as a communication protocol.

“Taking advantage of resources for testing and interoperability is an opportunity we encourage of all our members,” stated Andy McMillan, President of BACnet International and Philips Teletrol. “Having companies like InduSoft with a strong presence in Building Automation helps to further expand the BACnet community.”

About BACnet International

BACnet International is an industry association that facilitates the successful use of the BACnet protocol in building automation and control systems through interoperability testing, educational programs and promotional activities. The BACnet standard was developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has been made publicly available so that manufacturers can create interoperable systems of products. BACnet International complements the work of the ASHRAE standards committee and BACnet-related interest groups around the world. BACnet International members include building owners, consulting engineers and facility managers, as well as companies involved in the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of control equipment that uses BACnet for communication.
