Distech Controls Awarded LonMark Certified Device of the Year

Distech Controls is very proud to announce that its RCL-PFC LONWORKS® configurable controller Series (SCC) has been awarded LONMARK’s Certified Device of the Year.

Through this award scheme, LonMark International honours products, companies, projects and individuals that have demonstrated superior levels of expertise with open control networking technology based upon the ISO/IEC 14908 suite of standards.

Nominations were judged based upon the following criteria:

•    Adherence to LonMark International Guidelines
•    Device must be LonMark Certified at time of nomination
•    Must adhere to the spirit of open interoperability
•    Uniqueness of product application
•    Solution to industry problem or issue

Distech Controls’ RCL-PFC Series is a cost-effective solution for controlling HVAC terminal units, such as fan coil units, chilled beams, chilled ceilings, etc. The product’s compact design and terminal cover option mean it can easily be installed near terminal equipment, limiting wiring costs. The RCL-PFC Series HVAC Control function can be expanded with Lighting and Sunblind add-on modules to control up to three lights and three sunblinds, creating a unique Integrated Room Control Solution for optimal energy savings.

In addition, the RCL-PFC Series are Open-to-WirelessTM ready, supporting a wide selection of wireless battery-less devices, and compatible with a wide range of RJ9 accessories, including Distech Controls’ unique RS-Smart-Sense, a communicating sensor with colour touch screen.
