VingCard Elsafe equips Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with NFC-compatible electronic locking solutions

With the Seos™ application provided by ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, the trial participants, roaming from their home O2 UK operator, will check in at Hotel Porta Fira Santos, using their Sony handset. They will receive their digital room keys straight to their handset, sent over the air and held securely in the Seos™ applet stored in their G&D NFC SIM in the Xperia T. Then trial participants simply touch their handset to the NFC-compatible Signature RFID by VingCard electronic door lock reader to access their hotel room. ASSA ABLOY has developed the Seos™ ecosystem to make this possible. The Seos™ ecosystem consists of interoperable electromechanical locks and readers, mobile phone applications, a secure digital key delivery mechanism and a Trusted Service Manager. These integrated elements support issuing, delivering and revoking digital keys on NFC-enabled mobile devices that are used to open doors to homes, hotels, offices, universities, hospitals and commercial buildings.
