Dual-Ethernet, EnOcean, WLAN and MESH network support
Vienna, Austria, February 24, 2015 - LOYTEC, the specialist in building automation extends some of its devices with new and powerful features. From now on, certain devices support connectivity to EnOcean and also WLAN and MESH networks. Furthermore, two Ethernet ports that can be configured for different networks are offered.
All LOYTEC L-INX Automation Servers, L-GATE Gateways and L-ROC Room Controllers that feature a USB port can integrate EnOcean sensors and actuators with the new LENO-80x EnOcean Interface. For the different world regions like Europe, USA/Canada, and Japan, interfaces with different frequencies are provided. LOYTEC supports the integration of all EnOcean devices compliant to the EnOcean Equipment Profiles (EEP).
With the new LWLAN-800 interface, all LOYTEC devices that feature a USB port are able to communicate via WLAN (also MESH). These include the new L-VIS Touch Panels, the L-INX Automation Servers, L-GATE Gateways, and L-ROC Room Controllers. Each device can either be operated as WLAN Access Point or can connect to an existing WLAN Access Point. In addition, the devices can participate in a MESH network according to the IEEE Standard 802.11s.
These devices further support the new dual Ethernet functions allowing
each Ethernet port to be configured for a different network. This
allows e.g. operating a gateway between otherwise entirely isolated
building networks like BACnet/IP on one Ethernet port and KNXnet/IP on
the other port.
Founded in 1999, LOYTEC electronics GmbH today ranks among the leading European providers of intelligent network infrastructure products for building automation. There, LOYTEC exclusively relies on open and standardized communication protocols.
