SETRA SYSTEMS, INC. TO FEATURE THE NEW MODEL 267MR MULTI-RANGE PRESSURE TRANSDUCER FOR LOW DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS AT ASHRAE 2000

Setra systems, Inc. will feature the new Model 267MR low differential pressure transducer, designed for measurement of pressures and flows of air and non-conducting gas at ASHRAE 2000 in Dallas, TX, February 7-9. The 267MR is ideal for HVAC applications, energy management systems, variable air volume and fan control, environmental pollution control, static duct and cleanroom pressures, oven pressurization and furnace draft controls, and medical instrumentation.

Ideal for customers who need to configure on the fly, the Model 267MR offers up to 6 different pressure ranges (bi-directional and unidirectional) in each transducer, reducing inventory from 20 single range units to only 4. Ranges include +0.1 in. W.C. full scale to 30 in. W.C. full scale. The voltage output is field configurable to either 0 to 5 VDC or 0 to 10 VDC. A 4 to 20 mA output is also available.

The Model 267MR's improved capacitance-sensor design allows up to 10-psi overpressure (in either direction), with no damage to the unit. In addition, the sensor has thermally matched coefficients, which promote improved temperature performance (less than 0.033% FS/°F of thermal error for operation from +40 to +150°F) and excellent long-term stability.

The 267MR offers 1.0% accuracy, and its internal regulation permits use with unregulated 24 VAC or 24 VDC power supplies. In addition, the Model 267MR is available with 3/16" O.D. barbed brass pressure fittings for ¼" push-on tubing. Electrical connection is through a screw terminal strip with PG-9 or PG-13.5 cable strain relief or conduit termination. The Model 267MR is IP65/NEMA 4 rated and has a UL94V-O Flammability rating as well as complying with the European requirements of Council Directive 89/336/EEC.

SETRA SYSTEMS' TO FEATURE NEW LOW PRESSURE SENSORS FOR IMPROVED ENERGY MANAGEMENT AT ASHRAE 2000

Setra Systems, Inc. will feature a new series of transducers and transmitters for HVAC System Manufacturers, designed to reduce installation costs while increasing overall operating efficiency at ASHRAE 2000 in Dallas, TX, February 7-9.

Priced at $99.00 (any quantity) for OEMs, the Model 265 Series transducers are ideally suited for static pressure and air velocity control, fan tracking, clean room and isolation ward pressurization, terminal box control, environmental pollution control, stack gas monitoring, furnace control, and medical instrumentation applications.

At ±1% Full Scale accuracy (optional ±0.5%,± 0.4%, ±0.25%), Setra's new Model 265 provides superior positive and negative pressure sensing required for high efficiency, air-control systems. The Model 265 detects pressure ranges as low as ±0.1 up to 100 inches of water column full scale. This unit can also be configured with a choice of voltage output (0-5 VDC) or current output (4-20 mA), and 12 or 24 VDC (nominal) excitation. Additionally, the Model 265 is temperature compensated to less than 0.033% FS/°F of thermal error for operation from 0°F to 150°F.

The Model 265's small footprint (1.89"W x 2.74"L x 1.64"H) is an ideal fit for the tightest matrix. Installation is easy with an integral mounting bracket, 1/4" O. D. tube pressure connections (for push-on tubing) conveniently located on the face of the unit, and a screw terminal strip for electrical termination.

An optional snap-on conduit enclosure (Model 892), molded from high impact Lexan®, is available for the Model 265 pressure transducer. A 1/2" conduit opening is provided for conduit piping, and a special sensor-mounting bracket is included for simple, secure installation.
