AHR Expo 2007Technology demonstrations, education sessions illustrate the world of open systems at largest HVAC/R event

Santa Clara, CA—January 3, 2007—LonMark Americas (LMA), the North American affiliate of LonMark International (LMI) whose purpose is to promote the integration of open, multi-vendor control systems utilizing ANSI/CEA 709.1 and related standards, announced today the multi-vendor, open system Interactive Technology Demo and free educational sessions to the AHR Expo, January 29-31, 2007, at the Dallas Convention Center.

The LonMark® Interactive Technology Demo will showcase leading manufacturers and suppliers of interoperable devices, connectivity products, systems, tools and GUIs operating together using a common LON platform. Current demo participants include: Circon Systems Corp., Continental Controls, Control Solutions, Inc., Danfoss, Distech Controls, Echelon Corporation, Engenuity Systems, Inc., Gesytec GmbH, Hubbell Building Automation, Loytec, Onicon, TAC and Viconics Electronics. More than 25 different products, user interfaces, tools, and utilities will be connected in one integrated interoperable demonstration, highlighting the value of open standards. Attendees will have the first-hand opportunity to see and compare products working together from competing manufactures. LonMark’s mission of interoperability at the device level complimented with multiple tools and interfaces to the system will be a highlight of the building automation section of the show. To date LonMark has certified close to 700 products and has over 500 members worldwide. AHR Expo will highlight many of the new interoperable products coming to the market.

To complement the technology demo in the expo hall, LMA will host a day of free educational sessions on Tuesday, January 30, for all registered AHR attendees. These sessions will further illustrate how to improve building efficiencies through system integration when given the freedom to choose best-of-breed solutions and the flexibility to choose integration strategies that best meet overall goals. The education sessions are suited for all experience levels and familiarization of control systems and interoperable devices.

The LonMark Connection educational program is part of LonMark’s outreach program working with leading trade events to help educate and promote the latest advancements in the control networking market. This will be LonMark’s third year of seminars at AHR Expo.
