[Dallas, TX, AHR Show – January 29, 2007] – Engenuity Systems, Inc. announced it has launched a new division focused entirely on the distribution and support of wireless controls and peripheral products. The new division has already signed agreements to supply wireless products and services from more than a dozen companies, creating the first wireless controls marketplace dedicated to serving the commercial buildings industry.

Engenuity’s launch partners include technology leaders such as LagoTek Corporation, Tendril Networks, AVIDWireless, SimpleCom Tools, EchoFlex, Crossbridge, and Industrial Telemetry. Engenuity will also offer wireless versions of products from well known control manufacturers BAPI, Distech Controls, Procuro, Thermokon, Adept Systems, and Automated Irrigation Services. The company has additional agreements in process with several other leading wireless controls suppliers.

Wireless products currently offered include infrastructure components such as routers, repeaters and interfaces; controllers, sensors and thermostats; lighting controllers and switches. Engenuity will also provide development platforms and deployment tools for creating new wireless devices and deploying wireless control networks.

Customers will have direct access to Engenuity’s wireless experts via telephone, fax, and email to get product and technology assistance, and for order fulfillment. Engenuity’s web site provides the opportunity to learn more about products, vendors and wireless technologies through a knowledge base, application stories, case studies, presentations, news releases, product newsletters and datasheets.

[an error occurred while processing this directive] The new division will focus on wireless controls technologies rather than a specific geography or vertical market. This business model closely mirrors that of Engenuity’s existing business unit which has been successful in the sales, support and distribution of LonWorks® and LonMark® products for more than a decade.

Tracy Markie, president of Engenuity Systems stated, “The market demand for a central repository of wireless products, information and support has long been the Achilles heel in the rapid adoption of wireless technology in commercial building applications. We only need to look at the pervasiveness of this technology in plant and industrial manufacturing and process controls to recognize the true value this complementary technology offers the building controls marketplace.” Markie continues “Engenuity is positioning itself as an unbiased broker of wireless products, support, and a procurement source enabling Systems Integrators, consultants and end users to find what they need to understand wireless applications, product options and networking solutions”.
