Transaction expands and strengthens Schneider Electric’s energy management leadership position
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Jan. 24, 2013 – Schneider Electric, a global
specialist in energy management, today announced that it has acquired
the assets and daily operations of SCL Elements Inc. of Quebec, Canada.
Based in Montreal, SCL Elements works with systems integrators,
resellers and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) around the world
to offer wired and wireless building automation solutions that optimize
energy consumption while increasing the comfort of building occupants.
With this acquisition, CAN2GO®,
a brand of SCL Elements that provides facility managers, contractors
and OEM manufacturers with the ability to combine wired (BACNet,
Modbus, CANbus), wireless (EnOcean, ZigBee) and web (IP/Ethernet)
building automation technologies that allow for maximum
interoperability, control and energy savings, will integrate with
Schneider Electric’s StruxureWare™ software applications and suites.
StruxureWare software enables Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™
integrated energy management architecture that is designed to simplify
energy management, allowing users to see, measure, and manage
efficiency across their buildings.
