The dynamic impact of information technology upon buildings is producing a multimillion pound global market for intelligent buildings and the systems supporting them. Investors, users, designers and suppliers of buildings must understand where these developments are leading, and how they can be translated into business opportunities.
This is the key focus of ib2005, a two-day conference involving many of the leading players in this emerging industry. ib2005 will take place on 19th & 20th October 2005 at the BRE Conference Centre, in Watford, England. The event is specifically designed to support professional knowledge exchange, networking, and business development.
ib2005 will look at the critical issue of investing in building intelligence and will explore four key issues which affect the investment proposition:
Making the investment case
Alan Kell, Managing Director of conference organisers i&i limited says, "ib2005 follows on from the highly successful ib2004 event which took place in September 2004. We aim to bring together 200 of the world’s leading players in the intelligent buildings industry to discuss and progress the key issues affecting the market for intelligent buildings in the UK and around the world.
ib2005 will involve key stakeholders and decision makers including investors, developers, consultants, systems integrators, suppliers, building and facilities managers and end users. Everyone attending the event will be encouraged to contribute to the debate in a truly open forum, and in so doing develop their knowledge and contacts within this vibrant industry."
ib2005 is the first major event to be supported by the newly launched Centre of Excellence for Intelligent Buildings, which was established as a direct result of last year’s conference. This Centre of Excellence provides a focal point of best practice and knowledge for the intelligent buildings industry, with the aim of promoting and developing the market for intelligent buildings and systems supporting them.
