Implementing a 50MW demand response resource to cost effectively manage peak electric use to their service territory.
WAUKESHA, WI, July 24, 2012 — Cooper Power Systems, a division of
Cooper Industries plc (NYSE: CBE), today announced a new contract with
Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) to deliver approximately 50 MW of
new Demand Response in their Omaha service territories through 2017.
OPPD will deploy the Cooper Power Systems Yukon™ Advanced Demand
Response Management Enterprise Software and intelligent load
control switches.

Cooper Power Systems will host OPPD’s Demand Response management
solution—reducing OPPD’s start-up time and program costs. Cooper Power
Systems end-point technologies offer local intelligence and advanced
design that maximizes the reduction in energy use while maintaining

million load control devices installed at utility-managed programs
across North America. The Yukon robust, proven, advanced energy

periods for both direct load control and pricing programs.
