OpenADR 2.0 Certification Test Tool Supports New 'B' Profile

Simi Valley, CA – July 11, 2013 – QualityLogic (www.qualitylogic.com) today announced the availability of a new release of the OpenADR 2.0 Certification Test Harness with support for the newly released OpenADR 'b' Profile Specification. The 'b' Profile is a full-feature specification for complex energy management solutions supporting demand response (DR) and distributed energy resource management for both wholesale and retail programs.

Developed by OpenADR Alliance testing and training partner QualityLogic, the Certification Test Harness is available to OpenADR 2.0 'a' and 'b' implementers for pre-testing and development, and it will also be used by the OpenADR Alliance test partner Intertek for final certification of devices for compliance with the 2.0 'a' and 'b' specification. Early adopters have already begun pre-testing their products with the test harness's over 160 conformance tests.

QualityLogic has also updated the OpenADR 2.0 Training Workshops to include the 'b' profile. A public Training Workshop for developers of OpenADR 2.0 certified products and implementers of Demand Response (DR) programs will be held on September 23-24 in Simi Valley, California. The workshop, led by QualityLogic CTO Jim Zuber, features hands-on experience with OpenADR technology and test tools. The workshop is a public version of the successful exclusive workshops QualityLogic has presented for numerous early adopters of OpenADR technology.
