July 1, 2013 Manchester, NH - Cylon Energy Inc. announced today that it has acquired the Building Automation System Dealer Business of Philips Teletrol Systems Inc., from Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG).

Cylon Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Cylon Controls Ltd. in Dublin, Ireland, has been managing the Building Automation System Dealer Business of Philips Teletrol Systems Inc. since April 2012, and supporting the Philips Teletrol BAS dealer network to supply and install Philips Teletrol and Cylon Building Automation systems and technologies. Cylon Energy Inc. provides an upgrade path for all legacy Teletrol BAS systems to the Cylon native BACnet BAS and Active Energy SaaS Energy management solution.

Sean Giblin, CEO of Cylon, says, "This is an exciting expansion of Cylon’s presence in North America and is part of Cylon’s strategy to expand the availability of our leading building energy efficiency technology to US Building owners. Existing Teletrol building owners will be able to avail themselves of a seamless upgrade path for their legacy Teletrol Integrator Building Automation Systems to the latest open protocol building control and SaaS energy management technology from Cylon which can save up to 25% of a building’s energy consumption.”
