Igualada, Barcelona- June 30th, 2016
Sweden-based HMS Industrial Networks AB – a world-leading provider of communication technology for industrial automation – has acquired, on June 29th, 2016, the 100 per cent of the shares of Intesis Software S.L.

Intesis was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Igualada, Spain, close to Barcelona. Intesis offers advanced communication gateway solutions and interfaces within the fields of home and building automation. Representing the vast majority of sales, the company’s building automation solution is marketed as IntesisBox®. Intesis works closely with many major manufacturers of building automation systems and air conditioning globally.

Josep Cerón, General Manager of Intesis, says: “Among many candidates we selected HMS Industrial Networks because we saw in HMS the true reflection of what we wanted to achieve at Intesis in the short and long term.  Being part of HMS is the beginning of a brilliant new stage for Intesis, it brings great opportunities for our company in terms of growth, further development of our technology platforms and expansion of our sales network”.

Intesis will maintain its current headquarters in Igualada and will continue to offer the best products to the market for Home and Building Automation under its brands IntesisBox®, IntesisHome® and Houseinhand®, but from now on with the support, expertise, and global resources of HMS.

Terms of the transaction
The acquisition was completed on June 29th, 2016 on which date 100 per cent of the shares in Intesis were acquired by HMS Industrial Networks AB directly from Intesis’ owners Pedro Lumbreras and José Cerón. Intesis’ current CEO Mr. Cerón will continue to serve the company as its General Manager. Mr. Lumbreras will continue to advise Intesis as a consultant. Intesis will be consolidated into the HMS Group as of June 30, 2016.
