Blue Ridge Technologies Releases Modular Hardware Platform (MIO), and Essentials 2.0

July 15, 2016, Marietta, GA: Blue Ridge Technologies announced today their release of the MIO modular hardware platform and Essentials System 2.0. With this new line of modules, users can DIN rail mount, plug together, or daisy chain all devices modularly, thereby eliminating the need for more expensive control devices and wiring practices. “Through our new modular line, we have created the lowest price per I/O that we know of, and have significantly reduced the overall installed cost of projects,” said Bill Dunkleberger, President of Blue Ridge Technologies. “Through these modules there is a wealth of combinations designed for flexibility as much as functionality.”

With the new module line comes Essentials System 2.0 and completely refreshed programming tools. The tools are now totally encapsulated to separate the need for Java updates, have detailed embedded support files, and an abundance of new features designed to streamline programming and add functionality. “We know first-hand what field programming can be like. Therefore, we strive to create software that eases installation and supports the technician,” said Christy O’Neill Support Manager. With the Essentials Tool set, users can access the control devices through Bluetooth, Micro USB, and a BACnet device configured as a router.
