Fairport, N.Y. – Bosch Security Systems, Inc., a
full-line manufacturer of high-quality security and life safety solutions, has
launched the FPD-7024, an IP-ready Fire Alarm Control Panel designed to work
seamlessly with Bosch’s Conettix DX4020 Ethernet Network Interface Module. The
FPD-7024 delivers faster alarm reporting over local or wide area networks and
reduces operating costs for end users by eliminating the need to purchase
multiple phone lines for their central station monitoring services.
The new scaleable control panel enables Bosch dealers to address the safety
concerns of a wide array of applications with one flexible solution. Customers
can install the conventional FPD-7024 to minimize upfront costs and fulfill
future needs with the panel’s expansion capability. The conventional model is
ideal for small projects, such as mercantile and religious facilities.
Upgrading from conventional to addressable technology helps end users protect
existing investments while gaining advanced functionality. The addressable model
offers up to 247 points to facilitate identification of the exact device in
alarm, meeting the needs of office buildings, warehouses, lodging
establishments, and other similar-sized applications.

The FPD-7024 is proven technology that has been evaluated against rigorous
safety requirements developed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. The control
panel has earned UL 864 9th edition listing, validating it satisfies the latest
fire regulations in the United States.
To help customers fulfill the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction,
the FPD-7024 also provides an LCD and LED faceplate viewable from the exterior
of the locked control panel. This feature offers enhanced situational awareness
and improves communication of life-saving information, while maintaining system
keypad security.
The FPD-7024 offers easy programming directly from the built-in keypad, via a
local laptop and a DX4010i RS-232 Serial Interface Module, or remotely through a
phone line or the Conettix DX4020 module. Users can also respond to events
without going to the panel using a remote keypad or Annunciator.
