Seattle, Wash., 10th June 2013:  In partnership with Microsoft, The City of Seattle's Office of Economic Development and Seattle City Light, the Seattle 2030 District has selected Switch Automation (www.switchautomation.com) to provide a data acquisition and monitoring platform for more than 120 buildings.

This collaborative project is part of the Seattle 2030 District’s Smart Buildings Pilot Program, and is expected to increase awareness among building owners about the availability and the potential for near real-time energy data to deliver knowledge, empowerment and ultimately energy savings.

Deb Noller, CEO of Switch Automation, said: “We look forward to delivering the power of Cloud Computing to the monitoring, analysis and control of Seattle’s buildings, along with facilitating the development of energy efficiency improvements based on improved real-time data visualization and control of building operations.”

Brian Geller, Executive Director of the Seattle 2030 District said, “Switch Automation is helping Seattle 2030 District building owners to advance their knowledge of building operations, going from reviewing monthly utility bills to detailed analysis of 15-minute-interval data.”
