Circon Systems Partners with Coactive Networks to Deliver Circon WebControlT
RICHMOND, BC -- February 7, 2000 -- Circon Systems Corporation, a solutions provider and manufacturer of integrated building automation systems, today announced the availability of Circon WebControlT, a web interface for control networks developed in partnership with Coactive Networks of Sausalito, California.
Building on the Coactive Connector® 1000, Circon WebControl provides Internet access to LonWorks® networks. "Integrated building automation systems can be monitored and controlled through a web browser client. Circon WebControl will provide customers with universal access to their control system and its information via the Internet," stated James Dodds, President and CEO of Circon Systems.

Bundled in with the product are Java applications or applets that communicate with the Coactive Connector 1000 to give a web interface to Circon's HVAC, lighting, card access, intrusion, and frequency drive-interface controllers. These applets can be easily incorporated into customised web pages.
"Coactive Networks is pleased to be part of the Circon WebControl solution. We value the long-term partnership that has evolved between our companies and the opportunity to offer a new class of e-services together," said David Gaw, President of Coactive Networks.
"This relationship represents a very significant step in our strategy to maintain Circon's leadership position in integrated building automation systems using LonWorks," added Dodds. Circon WebControl will complement Circon's award-winning Windows"-based graphical user interface, Visual IntegratorT.
