Leading device-to enterprise software platform reaches milestone
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA- March 1, 2008-Tridium Inc. the global leader in application software frameworks, automation infrastructure technology and device-to-enterprise integration solutions today announced the total number of instances for the company’s Niagara Framework has surpassed 100,000 worldwide. Tridium achieved this milestone as a result of the steady growth in Niagara’s customer base and the adoption of the framework as both a development platform and as an application solution.
The Niagara Framework integrates diverse systems and devices regardless of manufacturer, or communication protocol into a unified platform that is easily managed and controlled over the Internet using a standard web browser. Manufacturers adopt the Niagara platform to develop Internet-enabled equipment systems, smart devices and device-to-enterprise solutions. In doing so, they reduce development time and costs, build new service offerings, and open up new business opportunities.
System integrators throughout 43 countries use Niagara-based products to provide open, interoperable solutions without regard for specific protocols, products or technologies. Today, Niagara is deployed in a variety of applications in the building automation, security, industrial, residential, energy, retail, telecom, M2M and medical industries.
"We are very excited to reach this significant milestone -- surpassing the 100,000 mark is a testament to the Niagara Framework’s industry-leading capabilities and proven performance," said Steve Fey, president of Tridium. "Reaching this milestone continues to fulfill our mission of being the leader in creating universal software frameworks that increase the functionality and value of smart devices and connect real time operational data to the people and systems that manage business enterprises”.
"We are grateful to all those in the Niagara community; manufacturers, system integrators, developers, consultants and end-users who have contributed to this milestone," said Marc Petock, director, global marketing and communications for Tridium. "This achievement reflects a strong commitment from the community and our ability to consistently deliver a robust platform that is the catalyst for true device-enterprise integration, connectivity and interoperability.”
