Las Vegas Event is the Largest International Lighting
Trade Show
March 23, 2010 -
LIGHTFAIR International (LFI), , the
largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference
worldwide, has named Gary Meshberg, LEED AP, LC, director of sales of Encelium
Technologies, Inc., among the featured guest speakers for its annual May trade
show and conference in Las Vegas. During his two workshops, Meshberg will
discuss "Commissioning Lighting Controls" and "Design of Electric Lighting
Controls for Daylighting" as part of the LIGHTFAIR Institute and the Daylighting
Institute, two comprehensive two-day educational forums for design, lighting,
architectural, engineering and related industry professionals.
"As energy and environmental concerns result in an increasing mandate to save
the maximum amount of energy, without jeopardizing lighting quality and the
visual environment, lighting controls are growing in importance," said Meshberg,
who is responsible for sales initiatives related to Encelium's Energy Control
SystemTM (ECS), the most advanced lighting control solution on the market.
Encelium's ECS reduces lighting energy consumption as well as energy costs at a
faster rate than other environmental measures and has an average payback on
investment of two to five years. Since the company's founding in 2001, ECS has
been installed in more than 25 million square feet of commercial space across
North America and Europe. The company has experienced tremendous growth, posting
a 200 percent annual increase during the last two years.

Meshberg's sessions will focus on the importance of a proper controls design and
commissioning narrative, as well as opportunities for implementing controls to
maximize daylight contributions and energy savings.
"Today's digital lighting control provides an elegant wiring scheme that allows
for the economical integration of multiple control strategies, simple code
compliance, software-based zoning/rezoning, remote control, and more," Meshberg
said.
The 2010 LFI Conference offers seven diverse educational tracks with a total of
72 unique courses, totaling 220+ accredited hours for AIA, ASLA, ASID/IIDA, BOMI,
IES and IFMA, upon individual association approval. Meshberg led the "Daylighting
and Commissioning and Controls" sessions at LIGHTFAIR International 2009 and has
also been a presenter at past LFI Conferences.
Designed to educate attendees in the industry's latest trends, innovations and
business solutions, the LFI Conference covers a broad range of today's most
relevant topics. It brings together the foremost international professionals to
address lighting fundamentals, software, applications, controls and solutions,
as well as design innovation, product updates and case studies. The LIGHTFAIR
Institute and the Daylighting Institute are being held on Monday, May 10 and
Tuesday, May 11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The conference seminars and
the new Design Symposia will be held in conjunction with the LFI Trade Show
taking place from Wednesday, May 12 through Friday, May 14, 2010.
LIGHTFAIR International is sponsored by the International Association of
Lighting Designers (IALD) and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). The
event is produced and managed by AMC, Inc.
