MORGAN HILL, Calif., March 04, 2014: The New Year is starting off strong for the OpenADR Alliance, with a new sponsor member, 40 certified products and growing global support of Open Automated Demand Response (OpenADR).  New sponsor member, IPKeys is a strategic partner in the Federal, U.S. Department of Defense, Commercial and Energy sectors, delivering expertise in the definition, development, integration, and deployment of Internet Protocol (“IP”) technology and communications systems. As a sponsor member, IPKeys joins the board of directors comprised of Southern California Edison, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), AutoGrid, EnerNOC, Honeywell and Siemens.

The OpenADR Alliance had a strong showing at the DistribuTECH Conference in San Antonio with 23 members exhibiting. Global support of the OpenADR 2.0 profile specification became evident with the release of the publicly available specification (PAS) IEC/PAS 62746-10-1 by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

Support from 100 Alliance members worldwide, plus availability of 40 certified products provides a solid foundation for utilities to implement automated demand response programs. Finally, international support for the IEC PAS is a testament to the global interest in OpenADR adoption.”

“IPKeys is pleased to continue and upgrade its commitment to the OpenADR Alliance,” said Robert Nawy, Managing Director & CFO, IPKeys. “After three years of intensive development leadership by our technology team led by Bill Walker and Jim Boch, we feel it is the right moment to step up our pledge and move forward with fostering greater adoption of the OpenADR 2.0 standards on a global basis,” added Nawy.
