Lee’s Summit, Missouri, March 4, 2014-Connexx Energy, a leading developer and implementer of ‘last mile’ energy solutions for Smart Grid and Smart Building technologies, in cooperation with parent company Lynxspring, Inc. today announced the first DaaS (Data-as-a-Service) SkySpark application available as a hosted cloud solution. This offering now makes it easy for ESCO’s, building system integrators and automation contractors that may not have the resources to deliver the benefits of analytics and building diagnostic data to their customers. In addition it enables building owners and operators who may not be in a position to host an analytic application themselves to receive operational data that help them identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and cost, operate their facilities more efficiently and at peak performance levels.

Building automation and energy management systems contain an incredible amount of operational data that can be collected and analyzed to manage operational efficiencies among multiple systems and devices supporting building management functions and business applications to help manage and control energy within buildings and run at optimal performance and energy efficiency. The SkySpark application combined with Connexx Energy’s connectivity, integration, security and cyber threat protection, user experience and support, enables users to deploy optimal energy and facility operational  strategies, capitalize on accurate and concise intelligence relating to the performance of their facilities, reduce energy consumption and costs, gain knowledge of individual usage and trends related to their building systems and equipment from one source, all within a cloud, hosted environment.

Cloud hosting is provided by Proxios, a leader in secured hosting and managed cloud environments and infrastructures. Connexx Energy manages all of the details related to hosting, backup and redundancy, security and availability including providing a secured, hardware normalization layer; multiple choices of site data extraction hardware; Lynxspring’s LYNX CyberPRO™ integrated cyber security solution; normalized data format based on the Haystack standards, automated analysis tools and a data warehouse. In addition, professional services are available to quickly on-board customers to design, install, configure, train and support.

“Building owners and facility management have told us they are looking for one solution that can work across multi-structured data from different sources rather than several stand-alone systems to obtain results based on their actual building not a comparison to a model or someone else’s buildings,” said Anno Scholten, president of Connexx Energy.

“Building owners and operators need to apply advanced control strategies based on operational data and analytics they can make sense of”, said Marc Petock, vice president marketing for Connexx Energy. “We are giving users an extensible, easy to deploy and use solution that delivers their specific statistics and information to manage and operate their facilities and equipment more efficiently and at peak performance levels”.

“SkyFoundry is excited to see this important new model for deployment of analytics-driven building efficiency. Data connectivity, security and management bring with them special needs and this hosted, total solution approach brings the power and benefit of analytics to more systems integrators and owners cost effectively”, commented John Petze, SkyFoundry principal.

“Proxios is pleased to have been selected by Connexx Energy to host the SkySpark software.  With over 14 years of experience in cloud hosting, including 400 different software applications across all varieties of Internet and wide area networks, Proxios is well positioned to ensure reliable and secure access to the facilities and users of this Data-as-a-Service solution”, said Steve Fey, Proxios president.
