World’s Largest HVACR Exposition Returns to Chicago
WESTPORT, Connecticut…May 6, 2008 — Fresh from its record-breaking event in New York City, the 2009 AHR EXPO® will return to Chicago, historically the site of its largest Shows, with new educational sessions and countless new products for contractors, engineers, architects, builders and other industry professionals.
The 61st edition of the world’s largest HVACR exposition takes place January 26-28 at Chicago’s McCormick Place and will feature more than 1,800 exhibitors from around the world showcasing hundreds of innovative new products to over 50,000 attendees and exhibitor personnel. HVACR professionals from more than 100 countries will have the opportunity to experience the latest products, technologies, solutions, and services from every segment of the industry. Building on the success of the 2008 AHR EXPO’s ‘Green’ theme, the 2009 Show will once again have a special focus on sustainable products and technologies.
A wide range of expanded pavilions and educational sessions will provide professionals important insights into the constantly changing industry. Industry veterans will offer valuable perspectives on the new trends and practices that will influence the HVACR industry over the next few years. Additionally, many exhibitors will showcase advancements in ‘Green’ technologies as well as emerging segments of the HVACR marketplace.
Chicago has traditionally been the site to some of the AHR EXPO’s largest and best attended events. The 2006 AHR EXPO, held at McCormick Place, set all-time Show records with 1,981 exhibitors, 411,175 square footage of exhibit space, and 57,673 total attendees (visitors and exhibitor personnel). The 2003 AHR EXPO in Chicago had the second best visitor attendance after this year’s New York Show at 38,224.
“Chicago has always been a great location for the Show because the area has such a wealth of top HVACR companies and professionals within a 200 mile radius,” said Clay Stevens, President of International Exposition Company, which manages and produces the AHR EXPO.
