Leading device-to enterprise integration software reaches milestone
Richmond,
Virginia - May 16, 2011 - Tridium Inc., the global leader in
application software frameworks, automation infrastructure technology
and device-to-enterprise integration solutions today announced that its
Niagara Framework has surpassed the quarter million deployment mark.
Reaching this milestone reaffirms Niagara's position as the leading
software platform enabling the functionality and value of smart devices
and systems and connecting different components, operating systems and
applications together.
The
company attributes this milestone to the continued growth and expansion
of Niagara's customer base and the adoption of the framework as both a
development platform and an end-to-end solution in the areas of
intelligent building automation, energy management, security, medical,
retail, sustainability, M2M and smart devices.
Meeting
the needs for a strategic, general-purpose automation and information
architecture built on open standards, Niagara is easily managed and
controlled over the Internet with a standard web browser and integrates
diverse systems and devices into a unified platform - regardless of
manufacturer or communication protocol. By adopting the Niagara
platform to develop Internet-enabled equipment systems, smart devices
and device-to-enterprise solutions, manufacturers are able to reduce
development time and costs, build new service offerings, and create new
business opportunities.
"Surpassing this mark is a true
acknowledgement to the industry-leading capabilities and global
acceptance of the Niagara Framework," said Steve Fey, president of
Tridium. "We are delighted to reach this achievement as we continue our
journey of being the leader in creating universal software frameworks
that increase the functionality and value of smart devices
