Southern California
Edison "SCE" is one of the nation's largest electric utilities,
delivering power to 14 million people in 180 incorporated cities that
spans 50,000 square miles of Southern California.
SCE knows the importance of a quality installation. They have
developed a HVAC Optimization Program to assure their customers that a
contractor has retained the knowledge necessary to make improvements in
the energy efficiency of unitary packaged units installed on commercial
buildings in SCE territory.
Contractors that participate in the program provide products or
services to customers that are designed to save energy and reduce peak
period energy demand can qualify to receive incentives while the
program is in effect.
Participation requirements of the HVAC Optimization Program include a
requirement for any of the following HVAC Excellence Certifications:
Light Commercial Air Conditioning, Heat Pump Service or Master
Specialist Certification.
