PHILADELPHIA, MAY 10, 2017, LIGHTFAIR
INTERNATIONAL – Legrand, North & Central America provides the
widest range of solutions that enable control of natural and artificial
light. As part of its expansion in commercial shading solutions,
Legrand introduces Solarfective roller shades and cassette systems and
full software integration with the Wattstopper architectural dimming
platform at LIGHTFAIR International 2017 in Booth # 1841.
Solarfective products are designed with features that make the
installation phase easier, faster, and safer. Shading systems can be
customized for unique shapes, oversized skylights, and large format
printing, and can be delivered to the job site pre-assembled. The
combination of a wide selection of shade offerings and leading-edge
technologies make Solarfective systems easy to specify.
On display are:
Solarfective Teleshades® offer a single-unit shade system available in
single or dual, and manual or motorized roller shades. Teleshades cut
down on installation time and labor requirements with a compression
bracket system and unique counterbalance spring clutch system. These
features reduce blocking and bring added flexibility, with easy
replacement of the clutch/chain without having to remove them from the
bracket. Teleshades combine style and performance for glare control,
occupant comfort, and increased energy efficiency.
The patent-pending shade system also allows for fingertip raising
action, making it easy to raise or lower the shade with two fingers
instead of heavy pulling or tugging. Solarfective motorized shades can
be wired to allow for individual control or group control with a push
of a button.
Solarfective Televent® uses the shade pocket to draw warm or cool air
over the window into the ceiling plenum, increasing the efficiency of
the mechanical system. Using this patent-pending system reduces
build-out costs as there is no need for a drywall/metal pocket.

addition, Solarfective shade systems can be fully integrated with the
Wattstopper architectural dimming platform via Design Center software.
Programming and commissioning can be done quickly and easily, providing
greater efficiency and time savings to projects. The architectural
dimming platform includes the Lighting Control and Automation Panel
(LCAP) series, and a range of unique user interfaces to meet precise
dimming, occupant experience, and energy savings objectives.
