“Hands down the best conference I’ve been to in my 10+ years, no doubt about it!”
(Washington, DC, May 7, 2018) - With record attendance of nearly 600
building commissioning, energy management and test & balance
professionals, CxEnergy 2018
once again broke all previous marks. The record crowd was treated to
the latest technologies by exhibitors, attended a wide array of
educational sessions and workshops and enjoyed numerous networking
opportunities. In addition, nearly 100 industry professionals were
credentialed in the presenting organizations’ certification programs.
The highly-rated 32-session technical program covered topics and case studies building envelope/enclosure commissioning, technology & innovation, energy management, commissioning specialty systems, policy & financial issues, lighting, water management, data centers, microgrids, energy storage and more. Attendees earned more than 4,000 AIA and other important continuing education credits from CxEnergy 2018 programming.
CxEnergy
participants included representatives from twelve universities, top
names in commissioning and engineering, and owner/facility management
companies and organizations including CBRE, ICF, ABM, Siemens, Lawrence
Berkeley National Laboratory, New York City Department of Buildings,
North Slope Borough (Department of Capital Improvement Program
Management) and more. “Hands down the best conference I’ve been to in
my 10+ years, no doubt about it!,” said CxEnergy presenter Mark Gelfo,
PE, CxA, EMP, LEED Fellow of TLC Engineering for Architecture, who gave
a presentation on commissioning hospital emergency power systems.
With 50+ sponsors and exhibitors, CxEnergy’s expo hall showcased a wide variety of companies that provide leading edge products and services. Their offerings ranged from software, controls, instruments, and metering devices to consultative services in engineering and building management. “CxEnergy was the perfect event to announce the launch of our mobile CxA app in front of decision makers in the Cx industry,” said Eric Forman, CEO and President of Facility Grid. “Sponsoring and exhibiting at CxEnergy once again gave us a high profile to an audience that is leading thousands of Cx and energy management projects."

Planning for CxEnergy 2019 is underway and presenting organizations are eager to build upon the success of the 2018 event. CxEnergy 2019’s presenting organizations will announce the dates and location of the event next month.
