Women In HVACR Becomes AHR Expo’s 35th Endorsing Organization

Westport, Connecticut… November 15, 2011—Women in HVACR has become the 35th Endorsing Organization of the International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), the world’s largest HVACR event.

Dedicated to providing a platform for women to become more successful through strategic networking opportunities with other women in the industry, Women in HVACR (www.womeninhvacr.org), will play a very active role in the 2012 AHR Expo taking place January 23-25 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. In addition to hosting a booth on the Show floor (#6940), they will present an education session on Tuesday, January 24, entitled “The Destruction of ODS for Carbon Credits - How to turn your used ozone-depleting substances into cash”. They will also host a networking reception on Tuesday evening and hold their Board Meeting on the Sunday before the Show.

Women in HVACR is focused on educating women in the areas of technical issues, industry trends, sales, management and ownership. With over 200 members, it is organized into a number of committees that range from Education and Outreach to Partnership Development. The organization has a Chicago Chapter and plans are underway to launch a Canadian Chapter.
