Healthcare building efficiency leader signs on as anchor tenant at one-million square foot facility
CLEVELAND - Johnson Controls, the global leader in building efficiency, will join an exclusive group of corporations to showcase its healthcare technology integrations at the new Cleveland Medical Mart & Convention Center in Ohio. Johnson Controls will anchor the Medical Mart’s Clinical Spaces third floor and highlight how integrated technologies impact the patient care experience and reduce operational and energy costs.
“Healthcare organizations face an unprecedented set of challenges, including declining reimbursements and the uncertainty of healthcare reform. Our customers must provide uncompromising patient care while finding ways to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency,” said James Dagley, vice president of channel marketing & strategy, Johnson Controls. “The Medical Mart aligns with that mission and helps us showcase our blueprint for the hospital of tomorrow to customers, partners and staff.”

Scheduled to open in fall 2013, the Medical Mart will drive innovation
in healthcare through technology exhibits, educational programs, and
virtual offerings. The four-story, one-million square foot
conference center is located in downtown Cleveland and includes
showrooms, exhibit halls and a grand ballroom.
“Johnson Controls is the global leader in state-of-the-art building
systems and is representative of the world-class, innovative leaders in
the healthcare industry that will make up the core of the Medical Mart
tenant base,” said Jim Bennett, MMPI, senior vice president.
“Coming on the heels of last month’s Medical Mart tenant announcement welcoming GE Healthcare and the Cleveland Clinic, the commitment by Johnson Controls represents yet another defining moment for this project,” added Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald.
