Securing Buildings News

Dortmund, November 12, 2014 – The BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) announces an independent BACnet training of the European BACnet Academy in Warsaw, Poland on Feb 2nd, 2015. The BACnet Academy was founded in 2009 and organizes neutral introductions to BACnet (ISO 16484-5), the de facto world standard in building automation.

The Polish building automation market is developing increasingly. Huge energy efficient multi-vendor projects like the shopping and office complex Zlote Tarasy, built on an area of 225.000 sqm in Warsaw, require expert knowledge about integration and functionalities, enabled by the open communication standard. The more workstations, building and application controllers speak BACnet, the more users ask “How does BACnet work?”.

“We convey the core technical information to planners, project engineers, building operators and facility managers from all over Europe”, explains trainer Thomas Kurowski who represents the inner circle of the BACnet standardisation. He is a voting member of the BACnet Committee (ASHRAE SSPC 135), the BIG-EU Working Group Technique and the BTL Working Group.

Warsaw is becoming a BACnet hub in Poland. It is the place of the emerging BACnet Interest Group Poland and one of 12 venues of the global BACnet Roadshow 2015. Registration for the BACnet Academy in Warsaw is open at www.bacnetacademy.org.
