KENNESAW, Ga., Nov. 19, 2015 — The
PlantCTRL solution, a sophisticated native BACnet® control system for
chiller plants, is now available from Automated Logic Corporation.
Automated Logic, a leading provider of innovative building automation
systems, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of
United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
The new PlantCTRL solution is an integrated component of the WebCTRL®
building automation system. It consists of hardware and software, and
is a dedicated plant system controller along with a library of
application-specific control algorithms that have been factory
engineered and tested to optimize the control of chiller plants. The
hardware and software architecture is also completely scalable to
enable cost-effective plant expansions and system upgrades as improved
efficiency algorithms and control methodologies are developed in the
future.

the WebCTRL building automation system, users can easily manage their

The Automated Logic PlantCTRL solution quickly responds to the needs of
the building by automatically starting or stopping the plant,
optimizing plant water temperatures, and matching the tonnage produced
to the tonnage required by the building. The intuitive WebCTRL user
interface provides facility managers with real-time and historical
performance data for the chiller plant. In addition, pre-configured
trends and alarms offer insight into plant maintenance and performance,
while also aiding in system troubleshooting.
Designed to cover the most common chiller plant configurations, the factory-
engineered control programs coordinate the management of chillers,
pumps and towers into a finely tuned, cohesive system. The Automated
Logic PlantCTRL solution also supports integration to other chiller
plant equipment using BACnet, LonWorks® and Modbus® protocols.
