Applications accepted until December 19, 2015

Malta, NY, November 19, 2015 - The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on BPI's Standards Technical Committees (STCs). BPI continually reviews and updates technical standards used by the residential energy upgrade industry to encourage adoption of industry best practices. BPI's STCs develop standards in an open and fair manner in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved BPI standards development procedures.  Applications are being accepted for BPI's Single Family STC, Multifamily STC, or Data and Modeling STC. Interested parties should submit an application by December 19, 2015.

The STCs are appointed to review and take action on proposals and comments from the general public, with updates to the standards made on a regular basis. Each year, BPI seeks applications from stakeholders willing to invest the time and energy to develop the technical standards our industry needs. Prospective nominees' applications will be assessed to ensure representation by technical expertise, geographic location, experience in the building sciences and willingness to serve. BPI is currently seeking to fill several vacancies on the Multifamily STC. New members will be appointed to a term of up to three years, beginning January, 2016. BPI is also seeking to establish a bank of candidates for its Single Family STC and Data and Modeling STC.

If you would like to join one of BPI's Standards Technical Committees and help craft the standards used by the residential energy retrofit community, please fill out the Application for Membership on Standards Technical Committee form and submit it electronically by December 19, 2015, in accordance with the instructions on the form.

contemporary For more information about how BPI Standards are developed, visit BPI's Standards Development Procedures webpage.
