Invensys-Pritchett brings technology for an intelligent world to New York State.

Invensys Building Systems announced that its current joint venture operation in the Baltimore-Washington area has established a New York Division. Effective September 1, 2000 Invensys-Pritchett is responsible for Invensys sales, service and energy support programs offered to the central New York market. This territory was formerly served by the corporate branch office located in Henrietta, New York and includes over twenty-seven counties from Rochester to Utica, and Watertown to Binghamton. Invensys will remain the majority shareholder of Invensys-Pritchett. Employees from the former Invensys corporate branch office will join the new venture.

High Performance Commercial Buildings: A Technology Roadmap

The Department of Energy's Office of Building Technology, State and Community Programs (BTS) will hold a Press Conference to publicly unveil High Performance Commercial Buildings: A Technology Roadmap, the product of a two-year private/public building industry initiative that represents a revolutionary vision netting enormous opportunity to save money, reduce pollution and create healthier work environments through improved energy efficiency in every community across the country over the next 20 years. Buildings will become almost "alive," using "smart" materials and systems that sense internal and external environments, anticipate changes, and respond dynamically.
