Decision_Point™
business intelligence software combines KPI dashboard and flexible
analytics to increase visibility and enhance decision making
Atlanta, GA – October 17, 2011 –
Prenova, Inc., an enterprise energy management company, today announced
the release of Decision_Point™, an advanced business intelligence
platform for tracking and analyzing energy performance data. A key
addition to the company’s cloud-based energy management suite,
Decision_Point gives energy managers, senior leaders, and others access
to the data and tools they need to monitor performance, identify
savings opportunities, and analyze results at the site level or across
an entire portfolio.
When energy management results fall
short of expectations, it’s often due to a lack of good information. In
many organizations, it’s hard to track energy performance because the
relevant data isn’t easily accessible. It’s stored in different formats
and in different locations, making it difficult to create reports or
monitor KPIs. Decision_Point helps organizations overcome this
challenge by combining data from three sources (utility bills, EMS/BAS
alarms, and equipment work orders) in a centralized location and
providing flexible business intelligence tools to make the data more
useful.
“No two buildings ever operate
exactly the same, no matter how similar they are,” said Michael J.
Nark, Prenova’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “For an
organization with hundreds of facilities, these differences can add up.
So it’s important to consistently track energy performance and look for
ways to improve efficiency. To do that, Operations personnel need
access to the right data. A flexible dashboard application with quick,
visual snapshots of key information is best for day-to-day tracking.
For more detailed analysis, it helps to have a solution with basic
reporting and analytics tools that meet the needs of most users, but
that also offers advanced functionality for power users. This is the
vision that drove us to Decision_Point.”
